June, a sparkling month for Cordier!

Jun 11, 2025

As summer approaches, the Cordier teams are reaching out to the general public with their iconic brand, Café de Paris, as well as an exciting new product: a Crémant de Bordeaux, to be discovered in Cubzac-les-Ponts and at Bordeaux Fête le vin.

Ancestral expertise at the service of an AOC
In 1898, André Cousteau founded a wine trading business in the galleries of the old quarries of Cubzac-les-Ponts and produced his first sparkling wines. Today, the site, which belongs to Cordier, produces the famous sparkling wine brand Café de Paris, 100% Vin de France, which shines as far as Japan. In 2024, the teams decided to expand the offering with an AOC. Under the guidance of cellar master Alexandre Malfray, a selection of the finest grapes from our local partners now allows us to offer a high-quality Crémant de Bordeaux.
Thanks to the blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc with a hint of Merlot, this sparkling wine is lively and structured with great aromatic finesse. Its notes of white flowers, citrus, and peach make it an ideal drink for an aperitif or to accompany a seafood platter or white meat
